Do you know what I did last night? Of course you don't. I don't know if that's because you really don't care or if it's because I haven't bothered to tell you yet.
I watched dungeons and carousels and guillotines come rising out of a stage. I watched English noblemen wear pastels and dance around like children at ballet class. I heard boys sing notes I can't. I laughed until I almost cried, my eyes shining, a smile on my face every moment, bouncing in my chair as if I'd never been to a theatre before.
I saw "The Scarlet Pimpernel" on closing night and you didn't.
Odd's fish, but it was fabulous. And the perfect testament to the fact that I have a splendid, wonderful, amazing, loving boyfriend that can produce tickets to my heart's desire like a beloved magic trick.
